Economics is a diverse and broad subject that encompasses wide areas of study–from the national level to the international level, and from societies to politics. With the subject matter’s wide ranging scope, new ideas are disseminated and economic discussion is promoted through the publication of economic papers. These papers are peer-reviewed articles or studies published to stimulate discussion and to gather critical comments on various economic issues from economists, business, government and academic communities. Many economic papers and working papers are currently available online, but one should be aware that many papers published online have not been peer reviewed.
